Book Party Recap
Miranda Anderson is a lot of things. She holds the titles of wife and mother, blogger and podcaster, creative genius and true inspiration. On Tuesday, July 16, the Rebelle Community had the pleasure of seeing how all of those intersect as Miranda—a Rebelle Community member herself— debuted her first book, More Than Enough, and officially added ‘author’ to her string of titles.
A study in intentional minimalism, the book captures a year in the life of the Anderson family as they embrace their ideal of “Less Stuff, More Adventure.” For them, that meant stopping all unnecessary shopping and learning to use what they already had. Spurred by a sense that she and her family had all they truly needed, the exercise pushed the Andersons to cultivate more gratitude and abundance with fewer belongings.
During the event, Miranda offered a deeper glimpse into her family’s experience, reading passages from the book and candidly answering questions from the audience. She was open and honest about the challenges that came with the exercise (hello, holidays!), and the lasting effect that the experiment had on her, her husband, and their three children.
Guests noshed on a gorgeous grazing table complete with fruit, cheese, chocolate, and charcuterie. At the end of the night, they came away not just with signed books in tow, but also with inspiration to put some of Miranda’s practices to use in their own lives.
Many thanks to all who joined us to celebrate Miranda’s success and to Canvas for their always abundant hospitality.
About The Book:
Have you ever felt like you were running a race you couldn’t win in life? Like there was always something more to buy or to achieve in order for you to feel like you had “made it”?
In this book, I share how my heart changed and I began to find real, lasting peace, abundance, and joy through focusing on what matters most and disregarding the rest.
