Rebelle Con Recap: Alison of Wardrobe Oxygen

Alison of Wardrobe Oxygen is a blogger we have been following for YEARS!!! Her style has evolved over the decade-plus since she began sharing her outfits, but it continues to be relatable fashion at accessible retailers, style that can be translated for a variety of ages, body types, and lifestyles. As a busy working mom of a 9-year-old daughter, Alison appreciates great style that is also great on the wallet, and great for comfort and longevity.

Alison Gary and Wardrobe Oxygen have been featured in Redbook, The Washington Post, US News & World Report, Lifehacker, Where, The Penny Hoarder, Refinery29, WhoWhatWear, and MSNBC.

At Rebelle Con Spring 2019 she shared the stage with her friends Sydney Lester, Rosana Vollmerhausen, and Jenn Mapp Bressan.

Here is what she had to say about her experience…

Have you heard of the Rebelle Con? It’s a conference for women who are defining and creating their own version of success. Founded by Shannon Siriano Greenwood, Rebelle is for those who are sick of the “go hard or go home” messaging that causes so many to burn out, get discouraged, or confirm feelings that they are not enough. It’s not just a conference, but a community and a support system.
The cocktail party was awesome, over 100 women laughing, networking, dancing, and having a good time together. With the clothing, everything went. There were some who wore what they had on for that day at work, some in jeans, some amazing women dressed as Flappers, some in floral sundresses, some in trousers and fun blouses, others in sequins and cocktail dresses. It was a really positive environment, easy to be a stranger and introduce yourself to others and make new friends.

“It was a great size, not too large, and an audience of women who had such different goals and lives but all with the desire to see one another succeed.”

Rebelle Con Recap: The Apple Cart

Stephanie and Barb are the women behind The Apple Cart, a boutique firm who helps create and grow food businesses. They describe themselves as “food mentors, candid taste testers, process enthusiasts, and strategic brunchers.” Don’ you love that?

We were super lucky to have them on our team to curate the food and beverage offerings for our conference.

Here is what they had to say about the event:

“Everyone at Rebelle got treated like a total VIP … programming that was thoughtfully created with ambitious female entrepreneurs in mind. This was the kind of conference where every attendee felt SEEN.”

The term ‘tribe’ gets thrown around a lot at these kinds of entrepreneurship/empowerment events, and I have to admit, I’ve always been a little skeptical, but the concept came together to beautiful effect at Rebelle, where we worked with our clients and friends to make the food piece of this event thoughtful, exciting, and most importantly, satisfying. If you left hungry, sorry girl, you did it wrong.

Rebelle Con Recap: Vivi of Heart Print Style

Vivi of Heart Print Style traveled from Washington DC to attend the Spring 2019 Rebelle Con. She was a Rebelle newbie, but definitely felt the love right from the start. She travels often as her lifestyle blog covers topics including plus size style, events, travel, and entertainment. She had great things to say about the conference and our little city of Richmond.

Here is what she had to say:

“A strong feeling I came away with at the conference was togetherness. The women in the room wanted each and every woman in attendance to win. It was contagious, really.”

My favorite part of the conference was hands down the Wellness Activity overseen by Tashira of Politics & Fashion. Her session injected so much soul and positivity into the conference. This woman is a true speaker and also a star.
Rebellecon’s tagline is “Design Your Life”. Simple and straightforward motto that packs some serious punch. Also, Richmond, VA is a really cute city to visit.
